Zoho: One Million Users

Its been less than 3 years that we launched our first Zoho service (Zoho Writer) and we are excited to announce that @ Zoho, we now are serving Million+ Users.

While we started slow, we picked up momentum adding more applications as we moved along and the applications improved week after week. We now have 17 Applications, 5 Add-ons and 4 Utilities.

Stats:

It took us 1 Year to get to the first 100K users, 6 Months to the next 100K, 4 Months to the next and the pace has been going up since then. Last July we were serving 300K users and one year later we are now serving more than millionth users.

Here is the chart showing the user registrations. If you notice, the peak was in May. That was when we opened up Zoho for Google & Yahoo users.

While Zoho has been known for the Office Suite (Writer, Sheet & Show), the two Apps that were silently successful for us have been Zoho CRM & Zoho Creator. Zoho CRM has 10% (100K) of our users with a good percentage of paid users (we are not revealing the paid users numbers yet).  Zoho Creator has been a quiet success with over 130K applications already created by our users.

Millionth User:

Dean Detton from Prestige Automation Inc signed up as our Millionth user. He registered for Zoho CRM to see if he can use it for his Home Automation Business based in Reno, NV. We find that small companies like Prestige automation find online apps like Zoho very useful. We are inviting Dean to the Party we plan to have at the Office 2.0 Conference to celebrate the occasion. If you'd like to talk to Dean, please do let us know.

Party:

For those of you who are coming to the Office 2.0 Conference, we are planning a party on Sept 4th in San Francisco (we'll provide more details on this soon on Zoho Blog) to celebrate this occasion. This is open to all Zoho users.

Zoho Apps:

Applications like Writer, Sheet, Show, CRM, Creator etc has been successful. But there are two important apps currently in private beta - Zoho Business and Zoho Mail. These two applications will be open to public in coming weeks/months and are going to play an important role going forward for Zoho.

The focus lately has been on integrating and enhancing our existing applications. We do plan to add more apps to the Zoho Suite by the end of the year.
