It's time for the monthly update from your friendly productivity & business web suite, Zoho. April 2008 was a busy month for us at Zoho. We had major updates to few of our products, which were well-received by both the media & our user community.

Zoho CRM has been the talk of town for its rich feature set at a very affordable price - free for first 3 users & $12 per user per month from the 4th user onwards, best suited for small businesses. We released the Zoho CRM Enterprise Edition which added more complex features that a larger enterprise needs - role based security, enhancements in product customization & data administration etc. Read more about it here.

One of the oft cited criticisms of web-based services is their lack of functionality compared to their desktop-based counterparts. At Zoho, we have been narrowing down this gap consistently over the past couple of years. With the speed that web-based development offers, we believe web services will overtake the desktop versions feature-wise soon. Adding VB based Macros support & Pivot Tables to Zoho Sheet was a major step in this direction. Read more.

Zoho Projects, unlike some of its web-based competitors offers features that typical project management demands, and at far lesser price. Task Dependency is one such feature. So is assigning a task to multiple users. April saw these new features come in to Zoho Projects, the versatile project management tool online. More on this here.
