  • 8. Why is remote controlling slow?
  • Most often connection speed could be the issue. Check the speed of your system as well as the presenter's system
  • Use Activex / Java viewer for better performance.
  • If it is still slow, kindly report us at support@zohomeeting.com

    9. Can I use Zoho meeting if I'm behind a firewall ?
Yes, you can! Zoho Meeting enables you to host LIVE conferences and work collaboratively even if they are behind a corporate/personal firewall.

    10. How secure is Zoho meeting?
Zoho meeting uses SSL encryption so it prevents any unauthorised user from controlling your computer. The connection is established only after you invite a person and they can control your PC only after you accept the remote control request.

    11. Why do you have many viewer options for participants (flash, java, active-x)?
To make it convenient for users to use any OS (Linux does not have activex support, in that case you can participate using java/flash viewers) Apart from this, each viewer has it's benefits

  • FLASH viewer doesn't install anything in your PC. It runs purely on the browser.
  • For JAVA viewer, we use the Java plugin in the browser (nothing is installed in your PC)
  • ACTIVE-X viewer leverages the advantages of running on the PC (it is the fastest).

We recommend ActiveX/Java, if you are trouble-shooting or taking remote control of some other person's PC. For other purposes (showing something/sharing etc.), please use Flash. Soon we will have MAC support for presenter also.

  • 12. How can I invite participants?
  • When creating a meeting, you can add participants in the 'Participants' section, a mail will be sent to them
  • Through 'Invite Participants' option in the meeting details page, i.e. the page you get after creating a meeting
  • You can also invite participants in the middle of the meeting through the Presenter toolbar.
