TheCDDA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to economic revitalization through historic preservation. In 2001, Colebrook was accepted as a New Hampshire Main Street Village Program.
To maintain this status, the CDDA follows the Main Street 4-Point Approach (tm) to downtown revitalization, established by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Each of four working committees has a distinct objective in pursuing the CDDA\'s mission and goals.
CDDA\'S SUCCESS
Since 2001, the CDDA has inspired positive effects in all areas of its mission.
Within the reporting district:
- The number of downtown businesses has increased from 42 to 76.
- For every $1.00 awarded in Facade grants, over $3.00 was invested in Improvements.
- Five buildings of significant local history have been revitalized.
- For every $1.00 invested in this program, $18.14 has been recorded in downtown reinvestment
