A student will be earn 10 responsibility points if they have all of the pictures on their website and have all of the questions answered in the excellent column by thedue date.

In the section of the rollercoaster that the student is responsible for, the student will:

1. post one overall view of the rollercoaster, one side view, and one top view of the rollercoaster with labels that clearly describe the pictures.

2. refer to the picture and design many times when discussing forces and the answers to the problems below.

3. follow the instructions for the design of the website.  (The design is shown on Helpful Sheet for On-line rollercoaster project 2).

4. describe in detail how different forces are acting upon the marble and the structure of the coaster.

Students must answer all of the following questions in detail and well.

1. Where does the marble have the most potential energy? Why?
2. Where does the marble have the least potential energy? Why?
3. Where does the marble have the most kinetic energy? Why?
4. Where does the marble have the least kinetic energy? Why?
5. Give two examples where is there a transfer of energy? (Think of potential energy, kinetic energy, and thermal energy (heat))
6. Where does the marble have the most velocity?  Why does it have the greatest velocity at this point?
7. Where does the marble have positive acceleration?  Why does this happen and what force(s) causes this to happen?  Explain how and why those forces work on the marble.
8. Where does the marble have negative acceleration?  Why does this happen and what force(s) causes this to happen?  Explain how and why those forces work on the marble.
9. Explain how the structure supports the marble.  Explain what forces are acting on the structure even when there is no marble rolling down.

In the section of the rollercoaster that the student is responsible for, the student will:

1. post one overall view of the rollercoaster, one side view, and one top view of the rollercoaster with labels that somewhat describe the pictures.

2.refer to the picture and design sometimes when discussing forces or answering the questions.

3. most of the instructions are followed for the design of the website

4. describe clearly how different forces are acting upon the marble.

Students must answer most of the questions in the excellent column in detail and well.  Students may not answer one of the questions.

In the section of the rollercoaster that the student is responsible for, the student will:

1. post the three required pictures, but there are no labels.

2. noreference to the pictures when discussing forces.

3. some of the instructions are followed when designing the website

4. describe in little detail how different forces are acting upon the marble.

Students must answer half of the questions in the excellent column fairly well.  Students may not answer two of the questions.

In the section of the rollercoaster that the student is responsible for, the student will:

1. not have a picture of the rollercoaster
