Daily Peg Prayer
Lord, help me to be a person of prayer, encouragement, and grace today.  Let my thoughts continually ascend in prayer to You. Let my words constantly be words of encouragement toward others.  And let my actions ever be actions that are modeled by Your grace. Let all of my thoughts words and actions glorify You now and always. Amen.

Coffee With Jesus

What exactly is prayer? Is it a time for us to tell Jesus about all of our problems and ask him to fix them? Or, rather, is it a two-way conversation with our Lord and Savior? When you pray, who does.

Yes, You Are Forgiven
At Stand in the Gap when asked about his favorite Bible Verse, Marvin Dolinger shares how he didn\'t understand forgiveness or salvation until reading Ephesians 2:8-9

Sunday’s Coming
The story of Jesus Christ\'s crucifixion is one of betrayal, brutality, despair, and pain. Yet we know even before His death that redemption was promised to be coming soon. We know that the story does not end at the cross. We know what many did not realize -- that Sunday\'s comin\'.

A Three Churches Community Picnic is scheduled for Saturday, September 6th from 10am until 3pm to get the word out to our neighbors. (Don’t miss it!) We are hoping to turn this into an annual event for fun and fellowship and local community outreach.

A few local Coon Rapids businesses have also agreed to make information about Three Churches One Location available to their customers… If you get a chance say, thank you to Mias Pizza on Hanson & 121st Ave, Joe Fulton Allstate Insurance Agency and Jason Counihan Care Financial Services that are both located at Northdale Commons Office Park next door to us.

Special prayer assignment this month:
Remember you are a child of God. It\'s okay to act like one. There is no need to keep your prayer formal or sophisticated. It makes no difference. What matters is the communication. If you want to cry like a baby, go right ahead. Be bold as a child is bold in coming to the Heavenly Father with your prayers of asking, seeking and knocking. Be persistent in your prayers as a child is persistent. And as a child of God ask the Lord for simple things. Trust in His love and trust in His provision. Remember that God the Father knows what\'s best.

Encouragement Notes…

Here is a cute Christian music video that was made entirely for encouragement. Twin Baby Mooseare found playing in a garden sprinkler while a Christian artist sings praises to God in the background. It’s beautiful!

Special encouragement assignment this month:
Become a regular encourager of yourself. Encouragement is the constant work of God the Holy Spirit in the life of every Christian. So make it a habit this month to assist the Holy Spirit by speaking encouraging words to yourself at times when they are needed. Especially speak words of encouragement to yourself that are found in Holy Scripture. And when you have done a job well and to the glory of God, then don’t hesitate to reward yourself after the work is done. This too is pleasing in the sight of God!

Grace Notes…

Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren recently sat down with presidential hopefulsJohnMcCain and Barak Obamato ask tough questions on subjects Americans care deeply about.

Three Churches Grace Needs:Volunteer workers are needed for the new 3 Churches Leadership Council which is now meeting on the 1st Sunday of each month at 1:30pm. New committees are being formed to work in the areas of 3 Churches Outreach and 3 Churches Events.

Specialgrace assignment this month:
Grace is communicated especially well in the language of love. So, this month write a love letter from God for someone that is special to you. It might be a friend or a spouse or a child that you are writing to. As God’s own representative, tell this person what God loves about him or her and try to express in words the reasons for God’s love.  Now place the letter in an envelope and put a postage stamp on it. For the return address simply write “God in heaven” and then mail it.  Now imagine how excited your friend will be to receive such a wonderful love letter from God!
