Subject Area Skills

 

 

Subject area skills will be evaluated every time a student turns in work that demonstrates their academic skill related to a course. The goal here is to provide students and parents with a grade that is pure reflection of the student’s skill level in a subject area. A student’s grade on subject area skills should include nothing that does not reflect their proficiency in the course in question.

Tests and Quizzes

Projects

Essays & Reports

Presentations

Homework that is graded for content

 

 

What is not counted?

Homework that is not graded for content

Behavior

Punctuality

Attendance

Permission slips

Dress code

            Organization (binder checks, agenda, etc)

Class participation

Effort

Preparedness for Class
