Born in Tibet, Sogyal Rinpoche was raised by one of the most outsanding spiritual masters of the twentieth century, Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö, and went on to study with many other great masters. Rinpnoche is the founder and spiritual director of Rigpa, an international network of Buddhist centres and groups. He travels and teaches widely in Europe, America, Australia, and Asia and has been doing so for over 30 years.
