Jonquil Park Renovation
 
The construction work is progressing! 
Jonquil Park ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for
June 27, 2009, from 10:00-3:00!
 
We will have music, games, and fun for the entire neighborhood!

Some of the key new features of Jonquil Park playlot include:

   

smile Multi-colored soft surface play area

smile New structural playground equipment for 2-5 year olds 

      and 5-12 year olds

smile Water spray area

smile New picnic tables in the play area so families can stay

      together to eat and play

smile New "Galaxy" play structure

smile 6 new swings

smile New tire swing

smile   New water fountains

 

The park will also feature a new garden area, new lighting, a new seating area, a new sculpture, and many more updated amenities!

 

** JPAC also held a neighborhood brick drive to help raise more capital funds for the park renovation.  Thank you to all the folks who purchased a brick!  Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting brick applications at this time, as the Chicago Park District had to have the final count to build them within the park framework.  We will hold a future brick drive if warranted! **
