What is ZohoMeeting?
ZohoMeeting is an online application with which you can share, collaborate, troubleshoot, demonstrate, and do much more. You can provide live support to your business partners thereby enhancing the overall productivity of the organization. ZohoMeeting allows you to share your desktop and also to control it from a remote location.

Creating a Meeting

Creating a meeting is made easy in ZohoMeeting. It has very simple steps as follows:
Login to www.zohomeeting.com with your zoho id. Go to 'Create Meeting' tab.

A Meeting requires :
1. The Meeting topic.
2. Meeting time and date.
3. Presenter's and Participants' mail id.

Note: The person who shares his PC is called a PRESENTER and the person who views Presenter's PC is called PARTICIPANT.



Meeting topic is the name that will be used in all your communications and for future reference. Now click the "Create" button. That's it! The meeting is created. Every meeting is identified by a unique 'Meeting key'.

Control Transfer

You can set the 'Control Transfer' to auto/prompt. 'Auto' option gives the control to the participants of the meeting without your notice while the 'Prompt' option notices you about the participant who requests remote control.

Changing Time Zone
Click the 'clock' icon at the top right corner and choose your time zone. This change will be reflected for the existing meetings also.




Starting a Meeting
Now you can see the list of meetings in the 'My Meeting' tab. It shows the Meeting topic, key, time and date, and options
( icons ) for starting/stopping, joining, editing and deleting a meeting.

Click the 'arrow' icon to start the meeting. Or click the 'Meeting topic' link and click the 'start' button. The meeting gets started and your desktop gets shared to the participants of the meeting. The participants can also control your desktop.


You can also invite presenter/participants from this page by clicking . Also you can the participants of the meeting.



Joining a Meeting

The 'Invited Meetings' tab reveals the number of meetings you have been invited for. It gives you all the meeting information like Topic, date/time, etc. You can join a meeting in number of ways as follows:

1. If you know the key, directly enter the 'Meeting Key' in the login page and click 'Go'.



2. Click the icon in the Invited Meetings page.



3. Click the link in the email.

You will see a popup showing Activex viewer, Java viewer and Flash viewer.


Activex viewer can be run only in Windows.

Java viewer is platform independent. It can be run on Windows/Linux/Mac.

Flash viewer runs on browser. It does not require any installation. Flash viewer can be run on IE/Firefox/Safari browsers.

Note: It is preferrable to use Activex/Java viewer, while using remote control, for better performance.

Installation

ZohoMeetingAgent / ActivexViewer - Intrernet Explorer
1. While installing ZohoMeetingAgent/ActivexViewer in the Internet Explorer, you may notice the following message at the top of IE.
If you notice this message notification bar, then right click the bar and select 'Install Activex Control'.


2. You will then be asked to Install the ZohoMeetingAgent/ActivexViewer executables. Choose 'Install'. Meeting gets
started. You can now view/share your desktop.


ZohoMeetingAgent / ActivexViewer - FireFox

While installing ZohoMeetingAgent/ActivexViewer in the Firefox, you may notice the following message at the top of Firefox.
If you notice this message notification bar, click 'Edit Options' at the right end of the bar and then selct 'Allow' in the dialog box. Click 'start/join' icon from the html page once again to start or join a meeting.


While installing ZohoMeetingAgent / ActivexViewer, firefox displays an installation box. Select 'Install' option from the dialog.


Java Viewer - Intrernet Explorer / FireFox

While installing Java viewer. Select 'Always' option from the confirmation box dialog.




Toolbar options


1. FeedBack

You can send feedback to us, the support personnel, using this dialog. Your feedback is appreciated and is vital for us.

2. Refresh

Refresh button is used to refresh the viewer. It sends a fresh image each time you refresh. This is very helpful partiucularly when you receive a distorted image, etc.

3. Chat

You can chat with your participants when you are in a meeting. This assists you in a two way communication. It is of great use you in clarifying the points, sharing your thoughts, expressing your views to your participants and vice versa.

4. Remote Control

Now you can control a remote PC at your place. Work as if you are working on your PC. Remote control option assists you in troubleshooting, problem solving or controlling the remote PC. This feature enables you to solve your customer problems instantly and boosts your productivity.

5. Hide

There is an option for you to hide the toolbar. This is very helpful particularly when you use remote control.

6. Zoom In/Out

You have Zoom in/out feature that enables you to magnify or diminish image.

Actual size displays the image in the size of the Presenter's desktop whereas BestFit displays the image in the best size that fits your screen.

1. What is Zoho Meeting?

Zoho meeting is an online meeting service to show/share your desktop online, conduct Web Meeting, Troubleshoot/provide Remote assistance to your customers. All you need is a browser and an internet connection for conducting a meeting. With Zoho meeting, you can host LIVE

Web conferences and chat with all participants.

With Zoho Meeting, you can:
  • Create/join a meeting online.
  • Edit, and share meeting online and join from anywhere with whom-ever you choose
  • Chat while conducting a meeting.
  • Embed a meeting inside Zoho Show, Zoho Notebook or any public web page.

    We support the following browsers :
  • Internet Explorer 5.5+
  • Firefox 1.5+
  • Safari (on Mac)
  • For now, Presenter (the person whose desktop is shared) has to be on a Windows PC (2000/XP/Vista) - Mac support coming soon.
    Participants can be on any OS (Windows, Linux, Mac)

    3. Who is a Presenter/Participant?

    Zoho Meeting is free while in Beta.

    5.Is there any limit for the number of participants/meetngs?
    For Beta, we don't limit number of participants, or number of meetings.

  • 8. Why is remote controlling slow?
  • Most often connection speed could be the issue. Check the speed of your system as well as the presenter's system
  • Use Activex / Java viewer for better performance.

    9. Can I use Zoho meeting if I'm behind a firewall ?
    Yes, you can! Zoho Meeting enables you to host LIVE conferences and work collaboratively even if they are behind a corporate/personal firewall.

    10. How secure is Zoho meeting?
    Zoho meeting uses SSL encryption so it prevents any unauthorised user from controlling your computer. The connection is established only after you invite a person and they can control your PC only after you accept the remote control request.

    11. Why do you have many viewer options for participants (flash, java, active-x)?
    To make it convenient for users to use any OS (Linux does not have activex support, in that case you can participate using java/flash viewers) Apart from this, each viewer has it's benefits

  • FLASH viewer doesn't install anything in your PC. It runs purely on the browser.
  • For JAVA viewer, we use the Java plugin in the browser (nothing is installed in your PC)
  • ACTIVE-X viewer leverages the advantages of running on the PC (it is the fastest).

    We recommend ActiveX/Java, if you are trouble-shooting or taking remote control of some other person's PC. For other purposes (showing something/sharing etc.), please use Flash. Soon we will have MAC support for presenter also.

  • 12. How can I invite participants?
  • When creating a meeting, you can add participants in the 'Participants' section, a mail will be sent to them
  • Through 'Invite Participants' option in the meeting details page, i.e. the page you get after creating a meeting
  • You can also invite participants in the middle of the meeting through the Presenter toolbar.
