The Zoho Projects Dashboard shows an overview of a particular project and presents the following details in a nutshell

  • Week Ahead
This chart shows the activities : meetings/milestones/tasks planned for next seven days.
  • Recent Forum Posts
The most recent forum posts made by the users in a project.
  • Recent Documents
The list of documents uploaded on the latest dates by the users.
  • Latest Project Activity
The list of activities of the project which have been undertaken by the users. This also shows the details of the activities containing the name of the user and the status (add/update/delete) of the activity.

Other important features in the Dashboard Module are:

  • Viewing the project details
The project details can be viewed by clicking over the 'View Project Details' icon  displayed next to the Project name at the top.
  • Editing the project details
    • Project name : Project name can be edited and updated from the Dashboard using the 'Edit Projects Details' icon
    • Project description : Description of a project can be also be edited using the above icon.
    • Project status : This helps to change the status of the project as Active or Archive. This feature is vital as it helps to differentiate the projects as active or as archived projects instead of manually moving the entire content from one project to another.
  • Projects by status
The dashboard also shows out a list of project names on the left, split as 'Projects' (active projetcs) and 'Archived Projects'. Whenever a project is being moved to the archive, immediately, the Archive list is displayed containing the latest moved project.
  • Clear Projects
This feature enables the user to delete a project in case the project details aren't needed any more or archived. A project can be deleted by clicking on the 'Clear Project Details' icon  next to the project name. This is useful particularly in cases where any project is called off or need not be maintained in the projects list and may cause unnecessary drain of disk space.

Note
: Only admin can see the Archived projects even though the project contains any number of users (i.e Managers  / Employees / Contractors / Clients).
