Refer How tos


The configuration settings in Zoho Projects can be accessed by clicking on the 'Settings' link at the top-right. There are various tabs under 'Settings'.

  • General Settings
  • Company Settings (tab shown only to Administrator)
  • People View (tab shown only to Administrator)
  • Client View (tab shown only to Administrator)
  • Templates (tab shown only to Administrator & Managers)
General Settings

Under General Settings, users are allowed to do the following :
  • Change the skin (theme) of Zoho Projects
  • Change profile details
  • Change their password
  • Upload/change/delete their photo



Updating User details

You have the option to update the User details at any time. To use this option, you can go to the Settings > General Settings. You can edit the user details like name, change in address, update changes in phone numbers or update job title changes, if any, over a period of time. This feature brings in a lot of flexibility and convenience, particularly in projects where the duration is considerably long and the user details undergo frequent changes or updation.






Company Settings

Under Company Settings admin can do the following changes :
  • Edit company Name
  • Edit Company Timezone
  • Upload/change/delete company logo.



People View


Under People View, the users list will be displayed along with the Administrator. The privileges of the Administrator here are:
  • Add/Delete users
  • Change user roles
  • Add users to/remove from project(s).
Send Message : The Administrator can also send mail to selected members using the 'Send Message' button. The same option is also available under the 'Users' tab of each project, the variation here being only the users & clients of that particular project alone are available in the combo list. And in either case, you can choose to mail a set of users/clients from the list of names available.



Client View


Under Client View, the client companies and client users in each company accessing the project will be displayed along with the Admin user.The privileges of the Admin user are:
  • add/delete/modify Client Company
  • add/delete/modify Client User
  • add to/remove from project(s).



Templates

The latest addition to the features list is the inclusion of a separate 'Templates' tab under 'Settings'. Creating 'Task List Templates' makes it easy to use the same set of repetitive tasks in multiple projects without actually re-writing the items in the list again. This saves the effort of retyping repetitive tasks all over again in a new project. You can create Task List Templates and add multiple 'Task Templates' to each 'Task List Template'.
